Cars generate multiple types of data, each enabling a set of use cases that are bound to be expanded in the future. Several players are acting along the car data value chain and everyone talks about the value potential of car data. How could industry players in the growing mobility ecosystem turn in-vehicle data into valuable products and services?

On January 30-31, the international Handelsblatt Conference “Monetizing Car Data” was held in Munich under the theme “IMPLEMENTING NEW DATA-DRIVEN BUSINESS MODELS”. The perfect fit for our open and neutral data marketplace! People were flocking our booth and we are proud of the very positive response.

The conference by Handelsblatt—Germany ‘s leading business newspaper— provided a platform for the exchange of experiences and ideas regarding car data monetization. This included main topics like use cases and data-driven business models, experiences with car data monetization, platforms and ecosystems, data management and acquisition, legal requirements and data security.

Day one of the conference started with keynotes given by Bosch, SAP & Continental followed by panel discussions and round tables with TomTom and TÜV Rheinland and other industry players. Speakers and participants took the opportunity to network after the official program ended.

Back in shape again day two kicked off with a highlight as our Managing Director Alexander Haid used the occasion to present Caruso to the digital mobility community.

It became pretty clear that our marketplace is THE way forward in monetising already existing data assets, fueling (future) mobility services with already available data & securing future access to in-vehicle data independent of technology. 🚀
