Platform ecosystems play a major role in all types of businesses. The entry of new players changes traditional markets and creates new business models. This leads to change in communication, technical and legal aspects at the level of the entire ecosystem. In addition, exchange of personal data should be supported by clear rules.
We spoke at this year’s OOP Conference – an excellent platform for the joint exchange of experience and its panel discussions provided excellent opportunities to gain access to well-known topics through other methods.
The different topics ranged from User Experience & Product Discovery and Real Artificial Intelligence, to Distributed Ledgers & Crypto Platforms and Modern Programming, to Enterprise Architecture Driving Digital. The event was held in Munich from January 21-25. Attendees were excited about more than 140 keynotes covering 12 thematic areas in 9 parallel tracks.
Our Software Developer Joshua Vecsei gave a joint keynote together with Dr. Matthias Naab & Dominik Rost from our Strategic Advisor Fraunhofer IESE regarding the Consent Handling on our platform. They shared their experiences about what makes architectural work particularly challenging when initiating digital ecosystems and platforms and how Caruso has solved key aspects. Core challenges are, for example, legal requirements (GDPR) and various requirements of the partners like anonymity of data processors to protect business secrets.
Further interesting presentations were given by Amazon, Alibaba, Volkswagen, BMW, Linux Foundation and others. We look back to five exciting days of inspiring lectures, meetings and discussions!
