A trustworthy and secure landscape for the data economy – knowledge transfer with experts from Fraunhofer IESE in Berlin

Platform economics is the heart of the digital revolution πŸ’™. It redefines B2B & B2C markets and leads to phenomenal growth figures. It is critical to ensure that organizational data is secure at every access point.

Our friends from Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering IESE invited to a special evening event with experts from eco – Verband der Internetwirtschaft e.V. and Gesellschaft fΓΌr Informatik e.V. in Berlin on March 21.

The event was dedicated to challenges and opportunities of a secure data exchange from different perspectives. It requires a new way of thinking about partnerships, a new way for business and technology to work together, and a new pace of development, funding, and coordination.

It also comes with new challenges to data privacy and security. It is crucial to choose the right technology mix for each company, to structure governance for data management accordingly and to make the data strategy an important part of the business strategy.

Our Head of Platform Engineering, Jens Knodel shared experiences about what makes architectural work particularly challenging: various requirements of CARUSO partners like anonymity of data to protect business secrets, legal requirements (GDPR) and the development of standard for data flows between all kinds of data endpoints.
